The Fortane™ line of products is developed with the environment in mind. Fortane’s Earth Approved™ initiative ensures that our products meet the specifications set out by the green organizations. We strive to not only meet local regulations, but also global standards.

Fortane™ is proud to be a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and to support the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) initiative.

The following list of Fortane™ products may contribute to the qualification of a construction project for LEED® certification under Indoor Environmental Quality EQ Credit 4.1 – Low Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants, as specified in the LEED® Green Building Rating Systems for New Construction, Existing Buildings and Commercial Interiors Versions 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2:

  • FORTANE LD™ – Wood Flooring Urethane Adhesive
  • FORTANE ONE™ – Urethane Adhesive Membrane
  • FORTANE ZERO™ – MS Polymer Wood Flooring Adhesive

All Fortane™ products manufactured within 500 miles of the construction project site may also contribute to qualifying the project for additional LEED® credits as per the standards manual in the sections titled Materials & Resources MR Credits 5.1 and 5.2 – Regional Materials.

In addition, under the Earth Approved™ intiative guidance, Fortane LD™ and Fortane ZERO™ were formulated to be V.O.C. compliant and do not contain any products listed on California’s Proposition 65.

Fortane™ is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and our Fortane™ products are absolutely free of any substance listed on the California Proposition 65. Fortane™ products have always been V.O.C. compliant and can contribute towards a L.E.E.D. certification for your building project.
